Residence - Physical Description 1
316 Bellerine Street is a single storey Early Victorian rendered building with a rear skillion, original timber outbuildings and an Edwardian verandah addition. The facade consists of typical Victorian window openings with simple projecting sills. The entrance is a six panel Victorian door with a highlight, and it also has a security door. Simple brick chimneys protrude form the slate roof with new ridge cappings. The corrugated iron concave verandah is hipped inform and has simple timber posts, carved timber brackets and a decorative valance. The verandah floor is concrete and has a brick plinth, however it is likely that it was once timber. A skillion at the rear of the building features double hung sash windows with four panes, an iron roof, and is joined to a more recent iron clad extension. Original timber outbuildings survive at the rear of the site. The fence along the front of the boundary of the site is not appropriate to the style of the residence.
