Statement of Significance
The former Tudor Service Station is important as a petrol filling station and repair workshop with associated commercial development, pre-dating the present era of single brand petroleum service stations run by international corporations. Its interest is enhanced by the curious exploitation of the English Domestic Revival style

E K Motors, 254-258 Glen Eira Road - Physical Description 1
A picturesque English Domestic Revival two storeyed commercial development consisting of garage, two shops and residential accommodation at first floor level. The lower level walls have manganese bricks with an archway to the workshop, set back from the street alignment and a cartouche in stucco with hood mould and "Glover Service Station" in Gothic script. The upper level facade is stuccoed with half timbering, the stucco intentionally revealing sections of brickwork, exaggerating the illusion of an ageing Medieval row house. The roof is steeply pitched with gables adding interest, a transition between the shops and garage being affected with a low castellated tower
