How is it significant?
The City of Coburg Electricity Supply Building located at 19-21 Harding Street, Coburg is of local historic and aesthetic significance to the City of Moreland.
Why is it significant?
Of historical significance as a representative example of the type of infrastructure which supplied Coburg with electricity from 1919 to 1994. (AHC Criterion A.4)
Of aesthetic significance as a representative and intact example of a public utility building that assists in demonstrating the range of architectural styles used in the construction of buildings related to the production and distribution of electricity in Coburg, and regionally, across Melbourne. (AHC Criterion E.1)

COBURG ELECTRICITY SUPPLY BUILDING (FORMER) - Physical Description 1
The Coburg Electricity Supply Building is an Moderne-inspired painted render horizontally expressed building with deep clinker brick plinth and details. The horizontally-expressed building has a flat rooflline with a central stepped parapet. The roof behind is hipped corrugated galvanised steel (reclad). A projecting porch marks the front door, which is steel framed. Windows appear to have been replaced.
