Statement of Significance
A three-storey brick and bluestone warehouse built in 1879 for the woolbrokers P B Curtain and Co. The architect was John Flanagan. This is an elegant and large series of warehouses associated with wool sales from the 1870s till the First World War. The Bourke Street building is designed in a heavy Roman revival style and includes detailing indicating its association with wool (e.g. ramsheds).
