Statement of Significance
A rare early example of an organ built by J E Dodd showing his developing symphonic style and case design, the latter including two slender three-pipe towers and three flats, with carved filigre details. The original tonal scheme, pipework, windchests and case survive intact, although the console and mechanism were altered in 1975. It is the earliest example of a Dodd organ in Victoria, pre-dating other examples by more than 15 years and the oldest surviving organ in the area.
