Outstanding example of species
This tree is the first of the species to be on the Register. The original property was originally owned by Isabella and Edward Outhwaite and was called "Yarook". It is likely that the Outhwaites built the house and planted the tree around 1897
The tree is growing adjacent to the fenceline with one large branch protruding through it. There is also concrete paving right up to its trunk line over all the roots
September 2012: it was reported that at least half the canopy had been removed.
