Statement of Significance
Rare or localised
The only known example of the species in Victoria, this native of California has a lean to the north and an open spreading canopy. Vigour and shoot extension is low due to severe soil compaction. The species is distinctive for its blue-green leaves above and paler pubescent underneath with the entire leaves undulate. This evergreen oak forms part of the finest oak collection of any provincial botanic garden in Victoria.
Located SE of residence within the caravan park.
