HOUSE & SHOP - Physical Description 1
356 Brunswick Road, Brunswick, is a single storey rendered brick house with a terracotta tiled roof. Tiled gable and hip roofs intersect and a squat shingled tower rises at roof level. Fence stanchions and verandah columns are tiled and pebble-faced, and window and door glazing displays floral forms. The tiled entrance balcony curves around a bay and provides access to the house and yard below. The timber garage doors may have come from an old tram.
The house incorporates unusual elements and materials in a highly original composition, somewhat reminiscent of the work of Antonio Gaudi.
