Young Men's Christian Association (Y.M.C.A.) Hall - Physical Description 1
This building was constructed for the Y.M.C.A in 1908 to the design of Architects: Barlow Molloy and Chandler. Alfred Deaking laid the foundation stone on 17th July 1908.
The design of the building is somewhat clumsy. The corner turret surmounted by pepper-pot dome provides a degree of interest. Theoriel window to the side elevation with delicate lead lighting breaks up a large unpainted facade.
The building provides a strong corner streetscape component. It is in good condition is relatively intect, and is of local importance.
