HOUSE - Physical Description 1
This asymmetrical mansion consists of a ground floor in bluestone, and an upper storey of brick, now unfortunately painted. The projecting section has a square bay window cantilevering at the upper level with three lights divided by panelled Roman doric piers. Skirting the adjoining wing is an "L'~ shaped verandah and balcony, with a decorative regency trim at eaves level, frieze panels - now empty above a horizontal member resting directly On broad column capitals above slender shafted columns which are doubled at the corner. The balustrade panel bars are of an early pattern above a bracketted frieze. The fence is a recent addition; the iron being from the former fencing along the Anderson Street Creek. The existing garden setting enhances this apparently early and interesting building.
