EUMANA (HOUSE) - Physical Description 1
An asymmetrical polychrome brick villa in which the characteristic Ballarat open work cast iron verandah pillars of a very delicate character and a more conventional frieze and valance are used on a building of almost primitive design. The cream brick dressings zig-zag as much as 2 ½ bricks from the corners and a pair of sash windows in the projecting bay have a banded mullion pier but continuous cream brick side dressings, banded flat arches above each window, above which is a nameplate "Eumana" below a broad flat Gothic arch of two bands of cream brick either side of a band of red brick.
The house is an example of the characteristic Ballarat iron-work used on an unusual polychrome building,
