STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A characteristic early Victorian style timber house built much later in 1893. It has most unusual eaves. It was rented for at least its first 50 years. It is architecturally significant locally as characteristic ofits type and style and for the interest ofits eaves detail. It is historically significant as a rather low key embodiment of fin de siecle investment rental accommodation in Newtown.

Description
A doublefronted symmetrical early Victorian timber house with a hipped roof and verandah roof It has most unusual corrugated coved eaves. Chimneys have fine Classical mouldings. The verandah has a portico with floral brackets in cast iron lace.
