Geelong Advertiser, 3 September 1870, p.3:
"TENDERS Wanted, by Monday next, the 5th instant, at 4 p.m., for the erection of proposed Cottage, Newtown Hill, for Hugh Cameron, Esg. Drawings &c, at our office. DAVIDSON & HENDERSON, Architects."
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
Part of a large mid-Victorian brick house built in 1870. It is architecturally significant as representative of the relatively conservative mid-Victorian manner and historically in embodying the way of life in mid-Victorian Newtown. The significance does not appear to be appreciably diminished by the subdivision and additions.
