My father's office.

Buzz McCarthy 01/04/20

My father ran the Caterers', Pastrycooks and Allied Trades Journal from his office on the 4th floor as well as a hotel and restaurant brokerage until the late 1960's. I remember the cage lift which nearly killed him one day after he opened the door to fall a floor as it was not at his floor. His name was Frank Brice McCarthy, affectionately known as Mr Mac. He parked his old black Packard in the laneway adjacent which he shared with the huge trucks carrying newsprint for The Age.
