Semi-Detached Terrace Pair - Physical Description 1
An unusual pair of terrace houses built in an architectural style not normally associated with this building form. The pediment prapets have an unusual Jacobean/Free Style character and the arcaded balconies on both levels are unusual in the irregularity of the archway openings. The slate roof, terracotta ridging and brick chimneys with rendered bands fully identify the architectural era as does the turned timber balustrades on the upper level. The building retains a section of original fence at 3 Mercer Road and is basically intact otherwise, except for the painting of the brick work and cement render thus losing much of the original design expression
