How is it significant?
The house at 27 Rennie Street, Coburg is of local aesthetic significance to the City of Moreland.
Why is it significant?
Of aesthetic significance as a good example of an Edwardian weatherboard residence which, although in poor condition, retains a very high integrity. (AHC Criterion E.1)

HOUSE - Physical Description 1
The house at 27 Rennie Street is a freestanding Edwardian timber ashlar villa with an asymmetrical facade incorporating a front and side verandah with a fretwork frieze and turned timber columns. The verandah incorporates a corner entrance. The steeply pitched hipped painted corrugated iron roof, with notched weatherboard(?) gable ends to the front and side facades, has some decorative capping. There are two red brick chimneys with a detailed stucco caps. Features include: carved decorative bargeboards and tripartite casement windows with coloured glass highlights.
