What is significant? The shop & residence, erected c.1885, at 425 Sydney Road, Coburg is significant. This is a late Victorian two storeycommercialbuilding.Theupper facade is framed by pilasters and has asolidparapetwith anarched pediment flanked by scrolls and surmounted byanacroterion, andorbs at either end. Below is a cornice andstringcourse,and the pair oftimber sash windows have moulded architravesandkeystones. The groundfloor has been altered.
