Statement of Significance
The house at 22 Mantell Street, Moonee Ponds, was built in 1895. It is aesthetically important (Criterion E) for its unusually intact facade detailing and remaining fence post. It has historic value (Criterion B) as it assists in demonstrating the impact of the Essendon railway line on the settlement of the area.

HOUSE (MOLYNEUX) - Physical Description 1
Single storey double fronted detached rendered asymmetrical Italianate villa with projecting faceted bay window with three windows to the right wing, cast iron verandah posts, concave verandah roof, hipped slate roofs, decorative gutter brackets, corbelled rendered chimney stacks. There are rendered quoins in the front elevation. An original side boundary wall with large rendered column is still existing and in good condition. Condition: sound. Integrity: high.
